Chara

Chara is a Jazz Vocal Coach and a Singing Teacher based in Larnaca, Cyprus. Specialising in Jazz Improvisation, Vocal Technique, Phrasing and Jazz Stylistics, Chara is teaching online and face to face in English & Greek. 

Chara is a Vocal Coach and a Singing Teacher of contemporary styles, who is passionate about teaching voice and believes that helping people to nurture, free their voice and explore its potential, can have a positive impact on their life and well-being.

Employing a student-centred approach when teaching, Chara is focused on developing a healthy voice production using her own experience with Alexander technique which has influenced her teaching, as well as other mindfulness methods.

Being a lead singer of 'Melodies & Frets Trio,' a jazz-based trio founded in 2019, with a repertoire combining jazz standards and latin jazz alongside jazz arrangements and covers from a variety of music genres such as bossanova, pop and greek songs, Chara has cumulated an outstanding performing portfolio across the island of Cyprus.

Educated to a Master's Degree, Chara has been awarded bachelor's degree in Music by the Royal Holloway University of London and master's degree in Jazz Voice Performance by the European University Cyprus.
